Unique was built by Floating Homes in 1999. The overall length is 45ft 2" with a 6'10" beam & a draught of approximately 2'4".She is fitted with a Perkins Prima 54hp engine and is made of a full steel construction 10/6/4. The BSS certificate expires in July 2024.
I purchased her in January 2017 when a full survey was carried out & this is available to view by a serious buyer. The previous owner was the harbour master at the marina & she had been serviced in August 2016 & blacked.
Before delivery I asked the marina to re-black the boat as I felt that some areas were not quite as good as it could have been.
This boat had been used only as a leisure home prior to my ownership. I have greatly improved the layout of the boat and made extensive upgrades to the interior, especially the bathroom & kitchen to ensure a comfortable full time home.
Additional & more practical storage has been added. A 800w inverter is present with 3 leisure batteries & 1 starter. A separate alternator is fitted to directly charge the leisure batteries and a battery charger was also added. A volt meter was fitted to ensure constant visuals of the battery banks. New batteries were fitted in August 2019. A Victron 115w solar panel is also present.The engine bay has been cleaned & painted annually and the advisories at the survey were carried out within the first year of ownership. Regular servicing & maintenance checks have ensured she is always ready to use.
In July 2018 the boat was taken out of the water, pressure washed, scraped & coated 3 times. At the same time the anodes were replaced & repositioned as advised. The entire stern/back deck area was also stripped, prepared and re-painted. In 2019 the entire roof was also re-painted.
Having owned a previously smaller narrowboat this one has been an absolute pleasure to live on & use. I have enjoyed my time aboard however, she must now be sold in order to fund future care for an elderly relative. This is a boat that can be lived aboard all year round and has a very efficient Heron Villager multifuel stove & an electric heater in the walkway which is more than adequate.
Unique is a comfortable, modern, clean & tidy home waiting to be enjoyed by the next owner.

Spacious bow with seating, storage & removable coal bunker. Fitted with a fully refurbished & cleaned cratch cover in 2019. Pair of metal doors with wood/tiled interior with double glazed units. Removable storage step leads to the cabin with a height of 6ff 4".
2 lighted display wall cabinets, 12v TV, 2 storage cupboards with aerial booster.
Fold down dining table Which could easily be removed, 2 folding chairs.
Cabin seating also doubles up as a bed which had memory foam added when made, it is very comfortable & can sleep 2. Plenty of storage for bedding underneath the soda/bed & in the large ottoman. Villager Heron multifuel stove. 12v lighting throughout. 12v & 240v sockets. Carpeted floor & sides with lined curtains.
The galley is well appointed with new cream gloss, soft close cupboards & 18mm base units with a large round enamel sink & chrome tap. a 150mm pull out larder is also fitted. A freestanding LPG Statesman cooker with gas oven, grill & hob is present which operates on a battery ignition. The floor is covered with light coloured laminate tiles.

A Welsh dresser type unit with storage is opposite & has a Bosch slimline washing machine with a Shoreline 12v fridge.

Door leading to a 3 piece bathroom suite. Porcelain sink/cupboard, 4ft bath with a mixer shower & a Thetford excellence portable toilet. Light laminate tiles fitted to the floor to match the galley area .
There is plenty of storage on this boat. The rear steps can be accessed easily, there are shelves & storage underneath the electric cupboard of which access can be gained from under the bed. The under bed storage has hook, clothes rails and a large central area for stacking boxes/cases etc. The large upright calorifier is located in the corner underneath the bed. This area has been changed twice in my ownership. Originally 2 7ftx2ft bunks were installed with a very small wardrobe & made this area too tight to negotiate or be comfortable. This was removed and the sofa bed/ottoman that is now used in the cabin was made to fit in this space by The Sofabedbarn however, the bed either had to stay up or you were making it up frequently. Personal preference as a constant liveaboard dictated that a fixed bed was more suitable. The existing bed was made so that it can be removed easily should the next owner wish to do so. Some prefer captains/recliner chairs in the cabin rather than seating/bed however, this boat has been able to accommodate up to 4 people if needed and in my opinion gave me the best option to entertain guests and optimise the enjoyment of owning a narrowboat.
She has been well looked after and has been out of the water & inspected 3 times in 3 years .
