Castor is a deceptively spacious 41ft Traditional Stern Narrowboat built by C T Fox in 1991. The current owner has taken good care of Castor ensuring she has remained well maintained. The fitout on this vessel is of a good standard and the cabin walls being of marine laminated plywood and a delightful solid wood roof, expertly fitted which gives the interior living space a romantic railway carriage feel to it.
Galley - The galley is fitted with a Thetford calor gas hob with two burners, 3-way Domestic fridge with an ice box. There is handy solid wood, port side bulk head over counter shelving. Hot water is dispensed through the use of a calorifier. The cream sink with a stainless mixer tap is set into tiled work surfaces over solid wood fronted units which make up the rest of the body of the galley. The flooring is grey tiles.
Leading on to;
Saloon - The roomy open plan saloon has a solid wood tv unit with under cupboard and radio fitted and a corner shelf unit with two shelves. The dining/ study area has a table with two stools. Heating comes via a Villager Puffin multi fuel stove with slate tile surround. The flooring is carpet which continues through to the rest of the interior. The owner is also leaving the large rug as part of the sale.
Shower Room -The shower room contains a Thetford cassette toilet, shower with fitted tray and a vanity shelving unit in white with solid wood trims. The flooring is laid with cushion floor tiles.
Leading on from the shower room via the corridor into;
Aft Bedroom - There is a fixed double bed with solid wood under bed storage cupboards and draws. The bed has a lovely solid wood turned bed post which gives the bed a rather grand appearance. Two brass reading lights complement the look. A fitted wardrobe with mirrored frontage and two under draws completes the bedroom.
Engine - The engine hold houses a Beta BV1305 32bhp engine fitted in 2002 with a PRM 80 2:1 gear box. The engine has 1882 running hours. An inverter, one starter battery and two 110v leisure batteries.

The bow has side seating with storage room beneath and a front gas locker. Cold water supply is from an integral water tank. The vessel has a mix of 240v and 12v LED sockets and 12v lighting throughout the cabin. Boat Safety Certificate renewed in October 2018 and not due until 17th October 2022. Blacked in March 2018. The use of 240v and 12v electric supply and cruising equipment being included in the sale gives this craft the ideal flexibility to be used as a long-term cruiser or live aboard.
