Starting out as a lined sailaway by Hixon Boats, Lucy was purchased by her first owner, who unfortunately was unable to carry out much work. Along came the second owner who proceeded to fit her out to a better standard than many so called professional boat builders. She has been well maintained throughout her life with regular engine servicing and blacking, with an out of the water inspection in 2016 at Tooleys boat yard in Banbury showing no more than half a millimetre pitting anywhere on the hull. With an overall length of less than 50 feet, handling should prove a pleasure with her 33 feet cabin providing spacious accommodation for up to four, with a versatile choice of sleeping arrangements, be it two doubles or a double and two singles. The larger than normal shower room leaves plenty of room for towelling off and the pump-out toilet adds that little touch of luxury. Panel radiators powered from a programmable diesel boiler along with a solid fuel stove, will ensure that the cabin is always cosy. To increase the usable cabin space even further, well fitting cratch and ‘pram-type’ covers protect the decks and provide the perfect place to kick off your muddy boots.
