Description

Based in Caversham 15 minutes walk from Reading station, with excellent links into central London and Oxford. There is potential for the mooring to be transferred subject to a vetting process.

This 60ft traditional stern R&D narrowboat features a Barrus Shire engine. Modern open-plan refit carried out in 2023-2024, giving the boat a light and spacious feel. Set up as an Off-grid live aboard.

The seating area in the bow includes two lockers for extra storage.

The main living space is equipped with a deep storage system built into the steps, housing the water pump and gauge. It also features a Portway multifuel stove, leading into the dining area and a bespoke crafted kitchen. The kitchen includes a 50cm wide gas cooker with a 4-burner hob, top and bottom oven with grill, washing machine, fridge/freezer, and ample cupboards, including a large cabinet that slides out for easy access.

The bathroom features a spacious shower, macerated silent flush Jabsco toilet, wash basin, storage shelves, and heated towel rail.

A corridor leads to the bedroom, which is fitted with a double bed with built-in storage and four drawers, as well as a wardrobe housing the water calorifier underneath. The bedroom has dimmable lights.

The engine bay holds the majority of the equipment, including the central heating system (newly fitted in February 2024), Victron power system with a solar charger, and two 100Ah lithium leisure batteries that can charge off the engine.

The boat's central heating system has three radiators: one in the berth, one in the bathroom, and one in the saloon living space.

The large solar panel array provides a maximum of 1.3kW of energy, fitted to bespoke storage boxes on the roof for easy rooftop storage.
