With a shell from Tim Tyler, part of the Tyler/Wilson dynasty, you are not only getting a well proportioned, good looking boat but one that will swim superbly as well. Although this boat is of traditional profile the design of the stern could be described as the best of all worlds. A large hatch incorporating a smaller one, slides forward to give the equivalent space of a semi-trad boat, thus allowing crew members to keep the steerer company. There is also a ‘pram-type’ cover which can be quickly lowered or kept in the raised position for when the weather is not at its best. Doo Lalli Ali is certainly a boat that can be enjoyed for extended cruising or full time liveaboard use. The cabin is kept warm by the solid fuel stove and programmable central heating to designer ‘school-style’ radiators, with the double glazing helping to retain the heat. Day to day laundry needs are catered for with the fitted compact washing machine, and a large inverter ensures that it is not necessary to connect to a landline for its use. The layout, with the galley situated between the saloon and the dinette, makes meal times feel special, before retiring to the saloon to enjoy relaxing in front of the TV. We cannot fail to mention the quality of the joinery throughout, which certainly showcase the builders skills
